W.E. Jamieson Jr.

The following article was sent to us and concerns the death of W.E. Jamieson Jr., son of Mrs. Oleta Collins Jamieson, who lived in Bonaparte a number of years ago and will be remembered by the older residents.

William E. Jamieson Jr., 51, bookkeeper at the Jamieson Machine Co., died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 30 at Omaha, where he was attending a Central States Shrine meeting.

A lifelong resident of St. Joseph, Mo., Mr. Jamieson had been with the machine company since he was 14. A veteran of World War II, he served in the air force.

Mr. Jamieson was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church and was very active in Masonic work. He was a member of St. Joseph Elks Lodge.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Oleta Jamieson, of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Walker, Topeka, and Mrs. LeRoy Eaton, Shawnee Mission, and two nephews in Topeka.
