Although his first name was Andrew, he used his middle name, Walter.

He was born June 12, 1895 in Crawford County, Kansas, the so of John and Nancy Harrison Goff.

Surviving are two brothers, John Goff of Ainsworth, Ia., and Charles Goff of Savonburg, Kans.; six sisters, Mrs. John (Millie) Gier, Chanute, Kans., Mrs. Jasper (Minnie) Gier of Humbolt, Kans., Mrs. Lloyd (Elvina) Franklin of Savonburg, Kans., Mrs. Oscar (Lizzie) Gier of Fort Scott, Kans., Mrs. Lloyd (Anna) Wintien of Walnut, Kans., Mrs. Dan (Bessie) McGuire of Clarksville, Ia. He was preceded in death by two brothers Roy and Sherman and a sister, Mrs. Ruben (Sadie) Neal.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. in the Vernon Cemetery with Rev. J. Bryan Jones of Farmington officiating.
