Brooks Ernest Huff

Brooks Ernest Huff born April 27, 1914, passed away Oct. 27, 1967 near Long Beach, Wash. He was 53 years and six months of age.

He was the son of Ernest C. and Inda Cass Huff. He was married to Helen Riedel. To this union six children were born of whom five survive: Richard of Davenport; Leonora Lu Carruthers and Linda Scheffler of Fairfield; Ronald, serving in U.S. Navy, and Barbara and four grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and four sisters, Marshall Huff, Long Beach, Wash.; Donald Huff, Hermann, Mo.; Carl Huff, Westminster, Mo.; Allen Huff, Milton; Robert Huff, Brownwood, Texas; Leonora McIntosh, Keosauqua; Marjorie Hamlet, Mt. Sterling; Ruth Peel, Davenport; Edith Meredith, Bonaparte.

He served two tours of duty in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, La Donna; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest C. Huff and two brothers, Dale and James.

Services and burial were at Long Beach, Wash., with military honors given by Long Beach American Legion.
