HARMER R. HUSTON

Harmer R. Huston, of San Bernardino, Calif. died May 29, 1967 at the General County Hospital of that city, where he had been a patient for two months. He died of cancer of the lungs.

He was born September 5, 1888 on a farm near Mt. Sterling, Ia., and was one of a family of seven children, of Jake and Ann Poling Huston. Two sisters survive. They are Mrs. Ba Poole and Mrs. Lola McBride, both of Farmington, Iowa.

In February, 1913, he was married to Alida (Dolly) McBride of Keosauqua, Iowa, and to this union was born one son, Lynn Udell, who with his wife, Ann, resides in San Bernardino. Mrs. Huston passed away in February, 1961.

August 16, 1962, Harmer was married to Mrs. Fanny Fletcher of Bonaparte, Iowa, and with her he returned to his home in San Bernardino, where they had since resided.

There are three grandchildren, and fiver great-grandchildren. He was much interested in these young people, and enjoyed their companionship very much.

He liked to travel, and could relate accurately what he had seen on various trips around the country. He was a good entertainer and enjoyed company. He was a retired auto mechanic, and being mechanically inclined, he enjoyed lawn-mower repairing as a hobby, in his home-garage. This he continued to do until March of this year, when he became seriously ill.

Funeral services were held at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, on Friday, June 2. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery in San Bernardino, beside the first wife.
