MRS. HARLAN, OTTUMWA DIES AT 104 YEARS

Mrs. Jennie B. Harlan, 104, of 1707 N. Court, Ottumwa, died at Ottumwa Hospital Thursday, Aug. 17, after a long illness. She was the widow of Charles F. Harlan.

Mrs. Harlan was born in Keosauqua, June 2, 1863, daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth Miller Burns. When she was five years old her parents moved to Ottumwa, where she spent most of her life.

She is survived by two children, a son, Warren A. Harlan of Long Beach, Calif., and a daughter, Mrs. Helen Fahrney, with whom she made her home.

Services were held Saturday, with burial in Ottumwa Cemetery.
