FLOYD F. HANEY

Floyd F. Haney, 74, retired farmer of near Selma, died Tuesday, March 21 at the Keosauqua Memorial Hospital following a severe stroke in his sleep Friday night.

He was born Oct. 1, 1892 near Selma, the son of William and Lora Leach Haney. He lived in this same community all his life.

On July 2, 1914, he married Lola Mae Ritz, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ellis Barker and a granddaughter, Linda Barker. A son Neil gave his life in World War II.

He was presently serving elder in the Eldon Christian Church where he was a member. He was also a Chequest township trustee.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 23, 1967, at 2 p.m. at the Eldon Christian Church, with the Rev. Earl Menning, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Harold Turk was the organist. Pall bearers were Harley Sloan, Richard Durflinger, Robbie Nichols, William Deeds, James Jones, and Ralph Shields. Interment was in the Eldon Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.
