MRS. AMELIA GREENWALT

Mrs. Amelia Greenwalt, 87, of Toledo, Ia. passed away Thursday noon, May 2 at Tama Nursing home where she had resided for the past four years.

She was born in Morgan Co. Illinois on June 30, 1880, the daughter of August and Mina Niehaus. She was christened in the Lutheran Church in New Berlin, Illinois, in Toledo attended the Evangelical United Brethren Church.

On Jan. 4, 1904 she was married to George H. Greenwalt. They were the parents of three daughters, they made their home in Illinois and southeastern Iowa.

Mr. Greenwalt passed away in 1933.

Mrs. Greenwalt moved away from Keosauqua to Toledo, Ia. in 1945.

Ma, as she was affectionately called by everyone, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ed Shelton (Thelma) of Flint, Mich. and Mrs. Carroll (Virgie) Childs of Omaha, Nebraska, two grandchildren, Jimmie Childs of Los Angeles, Calif. and Carol Sue Wilson of Cleveland, Ohio and two great-grandsons, Mark and Todd Wilson, one sister, Mrs. Dora Ludwig of Springfield, Ill. and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one brother and nine sisters.

Services were held at the Henderson Funeral Home in Toledo on Mon., May 6, with th(the) Rev. Robert R. Hefty officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo.
