Elizabeth E. Eichelberger

Elizabeth Ellen Eichelberger, 83, a resident of Granger, Mo., for the past 27 years, passed away at 6:10 P.M., July 22, 1968, at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua. She had suffered a stroke.

She was the daughter of William O. and Amanda Dice Justice, born in the Ballard Community, south of Kahoka, Mo., Feb. 11, 1885. She was married to Liona Branson Eichelberger, May 23, 1903. He preceded her in death, April 4, 1967. Also preceding her were four sisters, five brothers and a daughter.

Surviving are one son, Vernie Eichelberger of Colchester, Ill., five daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Norma) Stockdale, Mrs. Lawrence (Opal) Stott, both of Memphis, Mo., Mrs. Frank (Beatrice) Stull of Dalton City, Ill., Mrs. Clifford (Bethel) Pritchard, Mountain View, Calif., Mrs. Johnnie (Rachel) Brewer, Keosauqua. There are 19 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Ernest Justice of Kahoka, Mo.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M., July 24 at the Gutting Funeral Home in Kahoka, the Rev. Ivan Cull officiating. Burial was in Ashton cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Stott, Charles Brewer, Lavern Stott, Donald Ellrick, Earl Dean Stockdale, Leland Stott, and honorary were Eugene Watkins and Arlo Kreiss. Lucretia Stott, a granddaughter, sang "The Old Rugged Cross", accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Fred McAllister, who also played "Beyond The Sunset".
