Roy Emmons

Roy Emmons, 79, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, in Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua. He had been a patient at the Hainline Rest Home in Bonaparte.

He was born Sept. 23, 1888, in Jefferson County, where he had spent most of his life near Libertyville. He was the son of Luther and Augusta Peck Emmons.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. Warren Hendershott officiating. Burial in Fell Cemetery, near Libertyville.
