Mrs. Mary Davis

Mrs. Mary B. Davis, 55, Keosauqua, died Sunday morning, Dec. 24 at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

She had entered Van Buren County Hospital Dec. 7 and was transferred to the Ottumwa Hospital the same day. She had entered the Iowa City hospital Dec. 18.

The daughter of Jerry and Pearl Boyle Farmer, she was born Aug. 31, 1912, at Moline, Ill. On July 12, 1930 she married Harry Davis t Ft. Madison. They lived on farms in the Farmington and Keosauqua area. She had lived at Keosauqua since 1957.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1955.

Surviving are two sons, Donald of Keota and Darrell of Fairfield; four daughters, Delores of Keosauqua, Dorothy of Cantril, Mrs. Leonard Besick of Douds and Mrs. Richard Dawson of Eolia, Mo.; four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. W.F. Lundgren of Chicago.

She was a member of the Keosauqua Christian church.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Larry McAdoo officiating. Interment in Oakland Cemetery, Ft. Madison. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds.
