William Bell

William Bell, 71, died suddenly of a heart attack at Washington, D.C. on March 30. Funeral services were held in Washington, April 1. Burial was at Elkader, Iowa, Monday afternoon, April 4.

Mr. Bell was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bell and was born and reared on the Bell farm northof Milton. He was a graduate of the Milton high school and the State Teachers College at Cedar Falls and was for several years a teacher. After receiving an appointment in the Biological Dept. at Washington, D.C. he moved to that place where he had since made his home retiring from his work about two years ago.

He is survived by his wife, a son, David Bell at school in the Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., a daughter, Mrs. Julia Edwards of Los Angeles, Calif., two grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Paul Wilson and Mrs. Eva Hargrove of Milton, and Mrs. Lizzie Nagel of Iowa City.
