ANNA LIND KENNEDY

Anna Lind Kennedy, daughter of John and Matilda LInd, was born Feb. 2, 1870, in Smolon, Sweden and passed away July 5, 1956, at the Mills Nursing home, Mt. Pleasant, Ia., at the age of 86 years, five months and three days.

She came to the United States when a child of about seven and lived in the community of Swedesburg, Iowa. She was confined in the Swedish Lutheran Church at Swedesburg in 1885.

She was married to Albert Morris ennedy(Kennedy), Nov. 21, 1888 at Mt. Pleasant, Ia. To this union were born seven children: Roy, Elmer, Earl, Pearl, Harold, Helen and Edith. They moved to Keosauqua in 1907.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters, her husband, two sons and one daughter. Surviving are two sons: Roy, of Mt. Pleasant; Harold, of Los Angeles, Calif.; and two daughters, Mrs. Al Babcock, of Mt. Vernon, Ia. and Mrs. Jack C. Tincher, of Evanston, Ill; Twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She wah(was) a member of the Keosauqua Methodsit church; the American Legion Auxiliary; the Needlecraft Club and the Neighborhood Friendly Circle.

Funeral services were held at the Burnett-Catcott Funeral home, in Keosauqua, on Sunday, July 8, 1956, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. John A. Nye, pastor of the Keosauqua Methodist Church officiating.
