Gaylord L. Livesay, 78, of Keosauqua, IA, died April 18, 2017, in the emergency room at Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua. He was born February 19, 1939, at Hedrick, IA, to Alex and Corda Hartman Livesay and married Donna Bricker. They farmed and owned a trucking business. Later he married Anne Hites on December 13 1997, in Keosauqua Christian Church. She survives.

Gaylord was an insurance agent for many years, had been a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church and had been a Mason and a Shriner.

Remaining to cherish his memory in addition to his wife are two sons, Rodney Livesay (Sheila) of Mt. Sterling and Charles Livesay of Keosauqua, a daughter, Charlotte Followwill (Mark) of Floris, two stepchildren, Randy Hites (Kathy) of Salem and Kimberly Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, two brothers, George Livesay (Linda) of Bend, OR, and John Livesay (Joyce) of Ft. Gratiot, MI. Also surviving are two sisters, Bernadine Barker and Shirley McClure (Norlan) of Keosauqua, a brother-in-law, Leonard Hanshaw of Chesapeake, VA, seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Hanshaw.

Funeral services were held April 24, 2017, at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Pastor Phil Ross officiating. Burial was in Harness Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.
