LEE ARNOLD

Lee Arnold, 71, of Keosauqua, died at 9 p.m. Thursday, April 19 at the Ferguson nursing home in Bonaparte where he had been for several months. He was a retired farmer and had been employed in Keosauqua for several years. He had been in ill health for some time and became seriously ill on Tuesday before his death.

He was born in Van Buren county Sept. 7, 1879, the son of William and Emma Arnold, and had lived in this community all of his life except two years which he spent in Colorado. He was a member of the Keosauqua Christian church.

Surviving is a brother Vern of Monmouth, Ill. and a sister, Mrs. Edith Stonebraker of Boulder, Colo. His wife, Ada Bishop Arnold, preceded him in death several years ago.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Burnett-Catcott funeral home in Keosauqua with the Rev. John Ballinsky officiating. Burial was in Keosauqua Purdom cemetery.
