Ella May Brown

Ella May Brown, 81, died at her home in Keosauqua Saturday night after a long illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Burnett-Catcott funeral home in Keosauqua with the Rev. Walter Llewellyn of the Christian church officiating. Burial was in Keosauqua Oaklawn cemetery.

She was born in Winchester, Van Buren county, July 30, 1868, the daughter of Hiram and Elizabeth Friend Cristler. She was married July 19, 1888, to A.M. (Tammy) Brown, who died April 9, 1942. She had lived here since her marriage.

Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy, at home; two brothers, James Cristler of Casper, Wyo., and Harvey Cristier(Cristler) of Chehalis, Wash., two sisters, Mrs. Anna Waggoner of Casper, Wyo., and Miss Leona Cristler of Portland, Ore.
