OBITUARY
Died at the residence of Earnest Lidolph, March 23, 1892, Mrs. Mary Miller, aged 83 years, 4 months and 27 days. Her maiden name was Mary Lichty. She was born in Somerset county, Pa., Oct. 27, 1808, and was married to Peter Miller in 1825, who preceded her nineteen years. Their union was blessed with twelve children, six sons and six daughters, eleven of whom survive them; one died while in the army. They came to Iowa in 1854, and settled near Bonaparte, where they had lived ever since. She had sixty-seven grand children, fifty-three of whom are living, and seventeen great-grand-children. She was a member of the church for fifty years. The funeral sermon was preached at the residence March 24, by Rev. M. Masters, when she was laid to rest in the White cemetery.
