Wayne W. Brereton

Wayne Willard Brereton was born Oct. 15, 1938 in Jefferson County, Iowa, the son of Hollis J. and Macel C. Keller Brereton; he died at 11:35 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 1961 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Fort Madison, Iowa. Wayne lived most of his life in Jefferson County except for 11 years which he spent with his parents in Van Buren County.

Wayne received his education in the public schools, and was graduated from the Bonaparte High School in May, 1956; since then he had worked for Corry's Machine and Tool Company in Bonaparte.

On May 21, 1961, he was married to Patricia Pennock, in Fort Madison; they made their home in Fairfield. One daughter, Brenda Sue was born to them.

Surviving him are his wife, Patricia; three children, Brenda Sue, Audrey and Ralph Anthony; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Brereton, one sister, Cheryl and one brother, Larry, at home; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Brereton. A large number of relatives and friends mourn his death.

Services were held at Weston Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, Monday, Dec. 4, 1961 at 1:30 p.m. with interment in Memorial Cemetery, Fairfield.
