Roy Halbert Iseman

Roy Halbert Iseman was born Nov. 9, 1885, to John and Evelyn Iseman at Marshalltown, Iowa and passed away at his home one mile north of Bonaparte Thursday, Nov. 9.

He moved to Burlington, Kans. in 1902 where he was married to Gertrude Cokeley on Sept. 8, 1907, moving to Iowa in 1944.

He is survived by his wife and three children, a son, Orville of Keosauqua and twin daughters, Reba Brooks of Victoria, Ill. and Ruby Dunlap of San Francisco, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wm. Iseman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Ralph Iseman of Burlington, Colo. and Finley Iseman, New York City; two sisters, Mrs. Dan Harrington of Oklahoma City , Okla. and Mrs. Fred Richmond of Oquawka, Ill. and a host of other relatives and friends.

A brother, Charles E. Iseman preceded him in death May 19, 1961.

Mr. Iseman was a friend to everyone and always ready to help when needed. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12 at the Burnett-Catcott Funeral Home at Keosauqua. Rev. Leroy Moore of the Bonaparte Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery at Keosauqua.
