Inez M. Lane

Inez Marna Lane, the daughter of John and Jessie Huss Benn was born in Packwood, Iowa on Jan. 7. 1896 and passed away at her home in Oskaloosa on May 8, 1961 after an illness of four months, at the age of 65 years.

As a child she moved with her folks to a farm near Stockport where she met and married Harry J. Lane who preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1945. To this union was born one daughter, Beverly Eloise, now Mrs. W.D. Garner of Oskloosa.

She was a member of the Stockport Methodist Church, Stockport Rebekah Lodge and the Oskaloosa Womens Club.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Garner; one grandson, Billy, all of Oskaloosa; a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C.R. (Bernice) Laughrige of Mt. Pleasant and her mother-in-law, Mrs. W.C. Lane of Stockport, plus numerous relatives and friends.

The funeral was held Thursday, May 11 at 2:30 p.m. at the Stockport Methodist Church with Rev. Walter Sieck of Sigourney and Rev. Wayne Hoehns of Birmingham officiating. Burial was in the Spencer Cemetery.
