James F. McIntosh

James F. McIntosh, 65, died Friday, Nov. 25 at 11 p.m. at Memorial hospital where he had been nine hours. He had been ill three months.

He was born Oct. 25, 1895, at Keosauqua, the son of Frank and Sara Pate McIntosh. At the age of 16 he began work was a printer for the Keosauqua Republican, then published by Rowley and Landes, where he worked for many years.

He was unmarried. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Margaret Strait of Keosauqua, and two brothers, Dan of Milton and Craig of Titusville, Fla. Five sisters and two brothers preceded him in death including Harrison McIntosh of Keokuk who died in October.

The funeral was held Sunday, Nov. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Burnett-Catcott funeral home. Burial was in Purdom cemetery.
