Alfred E. Thomas

Alfred Elwood Thomas, 85, of near Keosauqua, a retired farmer and carpenter, died Sunday, March 25 at the Becker Nursing Home at Bonaparte.

The son of Joseph and Hannah Stainhower Thomas, he was born on Aug. 15, 1876, in Mt. Pleasant. On Oct. 7, 1905, he married Minnie Mae Baxter.

Survivors include his wife, three son, John of Keosauqua; William of Chillicothe, Ill.; Orville of Agency, Iowa; four grandchildren; two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 27 at the Burnett-Catcott Funeral home in Keosauqua with burial in the Lebanon cemetery.
