MRS. AURUSTUS DUNN

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann (Mobley) Dunn was born near Baltimore, Maryland, November 22, 1815. She was married to Aurustus Dunn, Feb. 18, 1836. She professed christianity during early youth, and joined the United Brethren church in 1844. In 1842 they moved from Indiana to Iowa, and about the year 1844 moved to Harrisburg township, Van Buren county, where they lived for many years. She joined the Harrisburg Baptist church in 1869 and remained a member until her death, March 13th, 1907. Her husband died June 7th, 1897. She was the mother of seven children, three of whom are living. viz. Mrs. Sarah Lyons of Des Moines, Iowa, Henry Dunn of Van Buren county, Iowa, and George Dunn of Lawton, Oklahoma. At her death she was 91 years, 3 months and 22 days old. Brief funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, March 14th, at the home in Des Moines, Rev. D.D. Proper officiating. The remains were taken to Bentonsport, Iowa, Friday, March 15, for burial at that place, where funeral services were held. A good woman has gone to her reward.
