ISAAC DAVIS.

Isaac Davis was born in Rockcastle Co., Kentucky, March 9, 1833, and died the night of July 4, 1907. In 1836 he came with his parents to Iowa and settled on a farm near Vernon where he ever after resided. In 1854 he crossed the plains to California, returned in 1855. He was honest and lived in peace with his neighbors and acquaintances. He minded his own business. He never married. He was esteemed by all who knew him. The funeral services were at the church in Vernon, Sunday, July 7 at 2 o'clock p.m., Eld. C.L. Wheeler of Keosauqua preaching the serman. The burial was in the Vernon cemetery.
