---Lettie Brown was born in Ohio, May 15, 1828, and died at her home in Ottumwa, Iowa, March 25, 1902, aged 73. In October, 1842, she was married to N. Sargeant and to this Union three children were born, only one now living. In 1850 this husband and father died. In 1853 she was married to Urastus Blount and to them two children were born, who survive. The remains were brought from Ottumwa to Vernon, Wednesday of last week and buried, after services in the M.E. church conducted by Rev. Harley Marriott.
