E.E. Smith, 59, Dies in Chicago
E.E. Smith of Galesburg, Ill., a Burlington railroad conductor, dropped dead in the union station in Chicago Tuesday morning.
Mr. Smith, who was born in Cantril, was 59 years old. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Ashmeade of Galesburg; three sisters, Mrs. Walter Miller Cantril, Mrs. Harrison Holmes of Milton and Mrs. Art Young of Aberdeen, Wash.; a brother, C.R. Smith of Cantril and a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Lester Jay funeral home in Ottumwa.
