MRS. MABEL GILCHRIST

KEOSAUQUA -- Mrs. Mabel Gilchrist, 67, died Wednesday about 3 p.m. at Memorial Hospital. She had suffered a stroke in January.

The daughter of George and Alma White Linn, she was born at Cantril Jan. 25, 1896. She was married Oct. 10, 1929, to Ward Gilchrist of Keosauqua, who died March 8, 1935.

She was a member of the Methodist Church and was active in the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include three brothers, Clarence Linn of Keosauqua, Harley Linn of Glen Cove, Long Island, N. Y.; and Ward Linn of Fairmont, Minn.; and two sisters, Mrs. Glen Burgess of Keokuk and Mrs. Hugh Blackburn of Keosauqua.

The body is at Burnett-Catcott Funeral Home with the funeral tentatively planned Saturday at the Methodist Church. Burial will be in Purdom Cemetery.
