Mrs. Frank Spurlock

Tobitha Arizona Adkins, daughter of Rebecca and Addison Adkins was born June 19, 1847 in Knox county, Ill., and departed this life March, ?1, 1932 at the Ottumwa hospital, Ottumwa, Iowa. At the age of 57 years, 8 months, 22 days.

She was united in marriage to Frank Spurlock January 22, 1896. To this union was born one son, Dean. The earlier part of her life was spent in Illinois, coming to Iowa about 18 years ago with her husband and son.

For many years she was a member of the M.E. church at London Mills, Ill. Her entire life was that of a faithful and true Christian. She was a true and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. A highly esteemed neighbor and friend, always saying a kind word or doing a kind deed whenever the opportunity presents itself. To know her was to love her.

During her last illness, which was of several weeks duration she was tenderly cared for by those who were dear to her. Every thing possible was done to save her life but to no avail.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Mary and leaves to mourn her passing her husband, son Dean, his wife Dora and one granddaughter Twila Yvon all of near Douds, Iowa. Two sisters, Fronie Vermillion of Stonghurst, Ill., Rachael Agers of London Mills, Ill., and many other relatives and friends.

We wish to thank our friends and neighbors for their kindness during the sickness and death of our wife and mother.
