Sarah Daugherty

Mrs. Sarah Jane Daugherty, 74, died about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 at her home west of Mt. Sterling.

She was the daughter of George Washington and Rebekah Jane Roberts Harding and was born at Laddsdale Dec. 20, 1885. She had lived near Mt. Sterling for 13 years.

Surviving are her husband, Morrison Daugherty; two sons, Richard Daugherty of Mt. Sterling and Max Daugherty of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Buss of Los Altos, Calif., Mrs. Iva Martin of Phoenix and Mrs. Raymond Slater of Roland, Iowa, and a sister, Miss Anna E. Harding of Denver, Colo.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon Jan. 1 at the Mt. Sterling Methodist church. The Rev. Ray Rubey of Cantril officiated. Burial was in the Pierce cemetery east of Floris.
