MRS. TOMKINS DIED AT DAUGHTER'S HOME

STOCKPORT - Mary Alice Hammaus, daughter of Henry and Margaret Hammaus was born in Jefferson County, Iowa, January 12, 1872 and passed away at the home of her daughter April 22, 1950, at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 10 days. Funeral services were held Monday in Charge of Rev. George Stump. On March 3rd, 1892, she was united in marriage to George Thomas Tomkins. To this union was born three children, Mrs. Orla Watson of Hickory Grove Community and Willie and Carl, both of Stockport, Iowa.

Her husband preceded her in death March 8th, 1923, as did two brothers. The greater part of her life was spent in the Hickory Grove community where she united with the Hickory Grove Friends Church and was a faithful attendant whenever possible. Since her husband's death she had lived with her children.

Besides her children she leaves to mourn her passing 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren also one brother, Willie Hammaus of Ava, Missouri, and a (remainder missing)
