HARWARD SERVICES HELD AT MILTON TUESDAY

MILTON - Mary Ellen Harward, daughter of Albert and Mary Curr Martin, was born near Troy, Iowa, March 17, 1873, and passed away at her home in Milton, Sunday morning, Sept. 25, 1949. All of her life was spent in Van Buren and Davis counties except two years in Mississippi.

On February 27, 1895, she was married to David C. Harward of Floris. Four children wer born to this union, Roy M. of Milton, Lowell of Cantril, Beatrice Schultz of Salem, Ind., and Flavina Peacock, who passed away in 1948. Also preceding her in death were her husband, mother, father, four sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include the three children, a sister, Mrs. Jennie Martin of Denver; 2 brothers, Eugene of Denver; and Winfield of Rockville Center, N.Y.; 25 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Zion Methodist church near Douds.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Milton, in charge of Rev. Orley White of Pulaski, with burial in Milton Sunnyside cemetery. Brown's Funeral home was in charge of interment.
