James F. Williams

BIRMINGHAM. - James Frederick Williams, 82, died Friday afternoon at Memorial hospital in Keosauqua, where he had been one day. He had been in poor health a number of years.

He was born at Palo, Linn county, January 16, 1878, the son of George and Eliza Armstrong Williams. On November 1, 1903, he was married to Luella See, who died December 28, 1958. Since then he had lived at the Moore nursing home in Stockport.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Oliver Woody of Goodland, Kan., and Mrs. Glenn Dorothy of Stockport; a brother, Charles Williams of Licking, Mo., and a sister, Mrs. Ida Scott of Licking. There are seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by two children.

The service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Burch funeral home with the Rev. Chester Werft of the Stockport Christian church in charge. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery here.
