THE LIFE STORY OF
BERTA B. CHANNELL

Berta B. Channell, 83, long time resident of Douds, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 1960 in the Van Buren County Memorial hospital at Keosauqua.

Mrs. Channell was born Aug. 31, 1877 in the Douds vicinity where she spent her entire life. She was united in marriage to W.B. Channell on March 1, 1910. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this year. She was a member of Christ Methodist church at Douds.

Remaining to mourn her passing are her husband; her daughter, Mrs. L.D. Pedrick of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandsons, Lee Pedrick of Phoenix and Ben Pedrick of Los Angeles, Calif.; seven great-grandchildren and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30 at the Pedrick Funeral home in Douds, with the Rev. Lowell E. Hoyle, Methodist Pastor officiating.

Interment was in the Mount Moriah cemetery.
