Mrs. Grant Weir

Sara Elizabeth Salter, daughter of Asa T. and Ruth A. Salter, was born Oct. 6, 1870, at Leando, Iowa, and passed away Jan. 7, 1925, at Ottumwa, Iowa, aged 54 years, 3 months and 1 day. She was married to Grant Weir, Oct. 23, 1891, at Leando, Iowa. To this union six children were born. Her youngest son, James, preceded her in death seven years ago. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Grant Weir of Ottumwa, Iowa, her mother Mrs. J.S. James of Leando, Iowa, five children-four daughters and one son: Mrs. Geo. Glew, Mrs. Ruth Folk, Mrs. L.V. Martin, Mrs. William Baker and Jr. Jay Weir, all of Ottumwa, Io.; two brothers, John and Ben Salter of Douds, Io., and five grandchildren-Marjorie Glew, June Falk, Miriam and Thelma Martin, and Patricia Baker.

Besides these a host of friends will miss her kindness and sympathy. She attended the East End Presbyterian church at Ottumwa, with her daughters and was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed. She had been ailing for some time but non felt it was so serious. On Thursday morning at 11 o'clock she was suddenly stricken ... (remainder missing)
