MRS. CHARLES E. AKEY

Mary Elizabeth Giberson, daughter of Wm. and Mary Giberson was born March 10, 1881, and passed away Feb. 1, 1933, at the age of 51 years, 10 months and 21 days.

She was united in marriage to Charles E. Akey Jan. 7, 1903. To them three sons and three daughters were born: DeLause, Veda, Alice, Lena, Charles and Fred. All were near her side at the end.

She confess to Christ in early womanhood and joined the Christian church at Keosauqua. She was a true believer in the Savior. She was a true and tender wife and mother, spreading happiness by her merry way and constant friendship. She was uncomplaining in sickness, and untiring in helping others.

She leaves to mourn their loss besides her husband and children, her aged mother, Mrs. Wm. Giberson, two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Teeter of Bonaparte and Mrs. Willard Brereton of Stockport, and five brothers, Asa and Sam of Wilbaux, Montana, John of Stockport, and Chas. and Harrison of Fairfield. She also leaves one grandson, Joey Eddy. Her father preceded her in death. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held from the home in charge of Rev. M.R. Willson Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock Feb. 2, and the body laid to rest in Pittsburg cemetery.

Funeral services of Mrs. Ed Akey were held on last Thursday afternoon at her late home. She had been seriously ill for several weeks. Rev. Willson had charge of the services with burial in Pittsburg cemetery.
