Rosa Ann Fredica Foster

Rosa Anna Fredrica Foster, daughter of John and Mina Roth was born in Lee County, near Farmington, Iowa, November 22, 1882.

Though failing in health for over a year, she tried to keep up her regular duties until last week, when sickness over-powered her and after only four days of being bedfast, she was called to her reward of December 6, 1932.

She was united in marriage to John Orville Foster, May 2, 1909, after which they came to Milton to begin their married life and where they have resided ever since. To this union were born two daughters, both of whom preceded her in death in infancy.

She was confirmed and joined the Zions Evangelical Church of Primrose, Iowa in early girlhood. In the fall of 1930 she transferred her letter to the Methodists Episcopal Church of Milton.

She was a firm believer in her Christ and Saviour, a lover of Church and church work, often voicing the wish that she could do more in the Christian work, but was limited in this on account of failing health. She was very deeply attached to her girlhood home and her sisters and brothers.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband and one daughter, Viola, four sisters, Mrs. J.E. McGreevy of Troy, Mrs. Elzie Snider, Miss Anna and Miss Lydia Roth of Farmington, Iowa. Five brothers, George H. Roth of Tyrone, Okla., Charlie, Edward and Henry of Farmington, Ia., and Julian Roth of Milton, Iowa. She leaves a number of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friend.

Mrs. Foster was a faithful member of the Berean Sunday School class, always in her place when health at all permitted and ever sensing the spiritual teaching of the lesson. Cheerful, under all circumstances and seeming to live in a real sense the words of a poem she composed and read to the class the last Sabbath she was permitted to meet with them. A verse or two of this poem is her testimony to us today.
