Sudden Passing of Albert Woods

Albert Woods died of heart failure Friday evening, July 2, while talking to Charles Strah near the C.E. Cummings garage on Second Street. Mr. Strah was sitting in his car, and Mr. Woods was standing beside the car, leaning against it when he was stricken. He fell against the car fender, and was carried into the garage by Mr. Cummings and others. Physicians said his death was instantaneous and from natural causes.

Besides his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Alice Morris, near Colby, Kansas, Mrs. Eugenia Snodgrass of near Bentonsport, and three brothers, Otto, who lives on the old place, John at Lepanto, Ark., and Paul of Bonaparte, six nieces and two nephews, are left to mourn their loss. There are besides a number of other relatives and a host of friends.

The funeral service was held at the late home southwest of Bonaparte on Sunday afternoon, Rev. Orf of Keosauqua officiating. Interment in the Bonaparte cemetery.
