Van E. Wells, died of a sudden heart attack on December 10. He grew up in Cantril and was the son of the late Harold and Josephine Wells. Services will be held in Palatine, IL, on Saturday, December 17. Van's wife of 58 years, Barbara, died of a lingering illness on November 22. Van is survived by his son, Bill (Mary) Wells, and a daughter, Becky Nicholson.
