LOUISA M. ARNOLD

Louisa M. Arnold, daughter of Frederick and Mary Warner, was born one and a half miles northwest of Utica, April 30, 1862, and passed away at her home Sept. 24, 1938, being 76 years, 4 months and 24 days.

She was united in marriage Oct. 28, 1880, to John L. Arnold, who passed away Jan. 21, 1936.

She leaves to mourn her departure four sons and one daughter, Rufus Arnold and Stella M. Fry of near Fairfield, Alva near the home, Roy living at home and John of Milton. Six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A grandson, Bobbie Arnold, passed away Oct. 18, 1935; and a great granddaughter, Bertha Mae Huff, died April 8, 1936.

She is survived by a brother, Frank Warner and three sisters, Mrs. Laura Daniels, Mrs. Belle Work and Mrs. Orilla Workman. Her oldest sister, Mrs. Addie Howard, answered the call last April. This was the first break in the family of six children in 47 years. The parents passed away several years ago.

In early life she accepted Christ; was a member of the Fordyce Christian church. This church was abandoned, so she transferred her membership to the Baptist church at Utica and was ever ready to do her duty in church and its interest. It can truly be said her life was one of service.

Lou, as she was called by hosts of friends, will be missed; but her reward is waiting in the Heavenly Home. Her chief enjoyment was to visit with friends and relatives and always cast a ray of sunshine where-ever she went.

She had planned to visit her loved ones in Cantril and Milton the day she took severe pains, August 29, which eventually caused her death. She was bedfast almost four weeks but bore the suffering with patience, never a murmur of complaint was heard. All suffering ceased seven days before her death; just rested and waited for the Master's call which came at 5 p.m. Saturday Sept. 24.
