WILLIAM DOOLEY

William Dooley was born on May 29, 1865, at Mt. Sterling and passed away at his home in Farmington on Oct. 20, 1938. At the time of his death he was 73 years, 4 months and 21 days of age. The greater portion of his long and fruitful life was spent in the vicinity of Mt. Sterling.

For the past sixty years Mr. Dooley has been in failing health. Some months ago he and Mrs. Dooley moved to Farmington to make their home. Here Mrs. Dooley cared for him tenderly and unceasingly. She spared no effort to comfort him and care for him until the very last moment of his life.

Mr. Dooley was married in January of 1896 to Miss Jessie Bolin at Burlington, Kansas, and to this union was born one child. For more than 42 years he and Mrs. Dooley fought the battle of life side by side.

His faith is revealed in his own testimony as he said, "I am ready to go."

Besides Mrs. Dooley he leaves to mourn their loss, one daughter, Mrs. Vera Pruett; one sister, Mrs. Jane Johnson; five grandchildren; two nephews; many other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in the Farmington Methodist church, Rev. H.E. Butler and Rev. Nicholson officiating. Interment was at Mt. Sterling.
