Vivian Leona Kreiss, age 84, passed away November 19, 2016, at Great River Hospice House in Burlington, IA.
A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Farmington United Methodist Church with Pastor Mary Hart Officiating. Burial of cremains will be at Green Glade Cemetery in Farmington, IA.
Visitation for family and friends will be 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2016, at Behner Funeral Home.
Vivian was born April 21, 1932, in Fremont, IA, to John H. and Elsie Luella (Triplett) Westercamp. She married the love of her life, Gary Lee Kreiss, March 14, 1954, in Farmington, IA. He died August 30, 2012. To this partnership was born six children.
Vivian lived in the Fairfield area for 52 years. For many of those years, she and Gary owned and operated a grocery store in Stockport, LA. Vivian worked at various local businesses and was a lifelong mother and housewife. Some of her hobbies and interests included sewing, cooking, painting, flowers, and most of all spending time with her family.
Vivian will be greatly missed by her children Paul (Jo) Kreiss of Germantown, MD, Brad (Diana) Kreiss of Ainsworth, LA, Dale (Cheryl) Kreiss of Tama, IA, Troy Kreiss of Edgington, IL, Lori (Eric) Freese of Lone Tree, IA, and Kent (Kerry) Kreiss of West Burlington, IA; along with 11 grandchildren, Zach (Anna), Colby (Katie), Jake, Trel, Trent, Brooke, Jessica, Jon (Terri), Jayla, Makaela, Tyas; eight great-grandchildren, Jack, Collin, Karsyn, Calan, Corbin, Hunter, Korei and Jayton; sibilings, Velma (Lloyd) Caston, Alldrey Caston, Joyce (Richard) Keller, Charlie (Ethel) Westercamp, LaVerne (Deah) Westercamp, Marvin (Twila) Westercamp, Rex (Darlea) Westercamp, Max (Gail) Westercamp, David (Connie) Westercamp; sister in-law, Erma Westercamp; nieces and nephews.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents John and Elsie; husband Gary; one brother, Hubert Westercamp; and one brother-in-law, Charlie Caston.
