THE LIFE STORY OF
MRS. GEORGE S. SMITH

FAIRFIELD - Mrs. George S. Smith, 67, of Stockport, died April 1 in the Ferguson nursing home, at Bonaparte.

Myrtle Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Peterson, was born in the Glasgow community on Feb. 10, 1885, and was married to George S. Smith on April 15, 1908. Smith died Aug. 31, 1949.

Surviving are a son, William Smith, Stockport, and two daughters: Mrs. Edith Church, Lockridge, and Mrs. Rachel McSweeney, of Delvan, Wis.

Three sisters survive: Mrs. Carl Coe, McAllen, Texas; Mrs. Harley Eighmey, San Fernando, Calif., and Mrs. Elsie Tilford, of Salem.

Services were held at the Round Prairie Baptist church at 2 p.m. Friday. Officiating was the Rev. E.C. Vanderpool, who was assisted by the Rev. Harlan McGill.

Burial was in Lambert cemetery.

The body was at the Weston Behner funeral home.
