Word has been received here of the death of Clarence Davis, 88, of Oceanside, Calif. His wife Amanda who preceded him was a sister of Clark and Zaida Rigsby and Mrs. H.E. Reese of Keosauqua. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Davis of Mt. Sterling and farmed in Van Buren county for years, later moving to Bonaparte. He is survived by a son Howard Davis of Oregon, two sisters Mrs. Charles McKibben of Bloomfield and Mrs. Arthur Bradshaw of Washington state. A daughter Rachel preceded him.
