WALTER CARTNAL

Walter Cartnal, 83, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 5 at 3:00 a.m. at Dunn's Nursing Home in Kahoka, Mo., where he had been a patient the past 2 months. He had been a partial invalid after suffering a stroke, but had remained at home with his brother, George, who cared for him for several years until he was taken to the nursing home.

He was born Dec. 10, 1870, in Clark county, Mo. the son of John L. and Martha M. Cartnal, on the family present farm where the family lived for many years.

His parents, three brothers William Henry, Scott, and Ralph, two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Peacock and Miss Anna Cartnal, and a nephew, Harold George Cartnal, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his brother, George at home, seven nieces three nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral services wiill(err) be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Azbell's Chapel, with Rev. Donald Arthur officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in Troxel cemetery.
