LAURA M. McCARTY

Laura M. McCarty died at 6:18 a.m. August 18, at the Memorial hospital in Keosauqua. She had been ill about one year.

She was born September 12, 1876, at Danville, Ill., the daughter of James and Mary Saunders Martin. She was married to William Martin(err?) who preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Wherry Martin of Farmington; one son Jack McCarty of Farmington; and two brothers, Mell Martin of Charles City, Iowa, and Warren Martin of Farmington. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Farmington Methodist church with the Rev. Donald Arthur officiating. Burial was in the Farmington cemetery.
