Lois M. Nicholson, 76, of Birmingham, died November 4, 2016, at Jefferson County Hospital, Fairfield. She was born June 20, 1940, in rural Wayne County to Ernest and Mildred Rollins Osborn and married Bill Nicholson on November 27, 1964, in Memphis, MO.

Lois graduated from Allerton High School in 1958 and had worked at Family Café, Fairfield Glove Factory and Turner Hotel, all in Fairfield. Lois was a member of the Birmingham Card Club, Eagles Club in Fairfield, a 50 plus year member of Red Hat Society, enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and helping with the Birmingham Easter Egg Hunt. She had attended the Four Square Gospel, in Fairfield.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Jeanie Kisling (Gerald) of Birmingham, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Shirley Kenny Van Aken and Sharon Thomas both of Ottumwa, four brothers, Duain Osborn of Brighton, Floyd Osborn (Judy) of Rock Falls, IL, Loyd Osborn (Irene) of Ottumwa and Delbert Osborn of Fairfield and 19 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, a sister, Phyllis Snook, a sisterin-law, Kayren Osborn and two brothers-in-law, Glenn Snook and William Thomas

Funeral services were held November 8, 2016, at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Pastors Lloyd and Floyd Osborn officiating. Cremation followed the service with burial of cremains at a later date in Miller Chapel Cemetery.
