JOHN CHAFFER

John Chaffer, 68, for years a prominent farmer in Keosauqua vicinity, died Saturday morning at Sacred Heart hospital in Ft. Madison following a short illness.

Funeral services were held Monday at 10:30 at the Burnett funeral home, Rev. Edna M. Fellows officiating, after which the body was taken to Clinton, Iowa, for another service and interment in Sabula, Iowa, cemetery.

Surviving are his wife Lucy, one son, Bert Chaffer of Ft. Madison, and one daughter, Mrs. Jeannette Workhoven of Denver, Colo.
