Leslie G. Weir

Leslie Grant Weir, 80, died at St. Joseph's hospital in Ottumwa Wednesday. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for 35 years.

He was a son of Thomas and Eliza Weir and was born in Van Buren county Jan. 14, 1864. Funeral services were held Friday at the Johnson funeral chapel in Ottumwa with burial in Leando cemetery.

His wife, Sarah Elizabeth Weir, preceded him in death Jan. 7, 1925, also one son, James, who died in 1917. He is survived by one son, Jay A. Weir of Ottumwa, and four daughters, Mrs. George Glew of Bridgeport, Conn., Mrs. William Baker, Davenport, Mrs. H.C. LeGrande and Mrs. L.V. Martin of Ottumwa.
