BROTHERS DROWNED IN TEXAS IRRIGATION DITCH

Rex Beggs, 12, and his brother, Richard Beggs, 7, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Beggs of Mission, Texas, drowned in an irrigation ditch near their home Nov. 24. There was 9 ft. of water in the ditch. The boys dissappeared(sp) and were found by their father when he dived into the ditch.

Mrs. Beggs is the daughter of George Hendricks of near Keosauqua, and a granddaughter of the late Mrs. Katherine Bell, formerly of Bonaparte. Mr. and Mrs. Beggs have a daughter 10 years old.

Mr. Hendricks and sons, Glen, Robert and Wayne and wife attended funeral services for the boys held in Iowa City last Friday. Burial was in Tiffin, Iowa.
