WALLACE HURLBERT

Wallace Hurlbert, son of Caleb and Susan Hurlbert, was born April 21, 1884, at Blue Rapids, Kansas, and passed away very suddenly at his home at Mt. Sterling, Iowa, on November 29, 1946, aged 62 years.

He was educated in the public school of Blue Rapids and grew to manhood there. He was one of a family of twelve.

On June 23, 1902, he was united in marriage with Lillian Bloosom and to this union two sons were born, Sordon L. and Courtright W., bothof whom preceeded him in death.

He was a member of the Valentine, Nebr., Presbyterian church and continued in that faith until his death. His health had been failing for several years.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two brothers, Henry and Benjamin, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Taylor, all of Blue Rapids, also by a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held in the Burnett funeral home in Keosauqua by Rev. Treverton Warren with interment in Purdom cemetery.
