LESTER DOUGLAS

Lester Douglas, third son of Herman Woodrow and Ethel Hill Douglas, was born at Bonaparte, Iowa, July 25, 1942, and after an illness of only a few weeks, passed from this life at the hospital in Iowa City Nov. 30, 1946, aged 4 years, four months and five days.

His short life was spent in Bonaparte, and at Salem where the family now live. Little Lester had a happy, sunny disposition, and made friends with everyone who knew him.

Those left to mourn their loss are his parents and three brothers: Robert, Billy Lee and Donald Harry. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hill of Bonaparte, and Mr. Frank Douglas of Ottumwa, also a number of aunts, uncles and cousins, and his great grandmother, Mrs. Eli Hill of Bonaparte.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday, Dec. 2, at the funeral home in Salem, with interment in Salem cemetery.
